Adam Mickiewicz
Description
Adam Mickiewicz (1798–1855) was Poland's most important Romantic poet, playwright, and lyricist, known as a national bard. He is the author of works such as "Dziady," "Pan Tadeusz," and "Ballads and Romances," which initiated the Romantic era in Poland. A committed patriot, activist in exile, and teacher, he died in Constantinople, and his remains rest in Wawel Castle.
