Lech Kaczyński
Description
Lech Kaczyński (1949–2010) was a politician, lawyer, and activist in Poland's democratic opposition. He served as President of the Republic of Poland from 2005 to 2010. Previously, he held the positions of President of the Supreme Audit Office, Minister of Justice, and Mayor of Warsaw. He was a co-founder and the first chairman of the Law and Justice (PiS) party. He died in a tragic plane crash near Smolensk.
