Description
Nicolaus Copernicus, Latin Nicolaus Copernicus, German Nikolaus Kopernikus – a versatile man: lawyer, official, diplomat, physician and lower Catholic cleric, doctor of canon law, also dealing with astronomy and astrology, mathematics, economics, military strategy, cartography and philology. His most important work is the treatise "On the Revolutions of the Heavenly Spheres", in which he described the heliocentric vision of the universe. He was born in Toruń.
