Romy Schneider
Description
Romy Schneider (1938–1982) was a renowned actress of Austrian and French descent who became an icon of European film. She gained popularity as a young woman playing Empress Sissi, and later eschewed this image for dramatic roles (including those by Visconti and Chabrol). Despite her professional achievements (for example, she appeared in over 60 films), her private life was filled with tragedies and difficulties.
